Native to the U.K carpinus is a principle woodland species that can make a very big and majestic tree which is exactly what this beautiful bonsai does. In bonsai cultivation the tree prefers a little protection from the sun in summer and will thrive in very light shade.

A nice hornbeam with all the basics in place. There is a small cut in the top that can be hollowed out and will callous over quickly. Now established in this pot for two years. Ready for a little styling work over next winter.
